I think this is almost certainly an architectural feature. Why? Essentially because of the way the sentence is phrased. Context. Sorry, Phil, but I don't go with your suggested "24-hour security". That could be an alarm system, for example. And there is nothing to suggest a round-the-clock security provision. A "guérite" can also suggest a surveillance point that is above ground-level. It might not be at the entrance either. Unless you can get some info from the client, then some of the more general solutions you have come up with may do the trick.

Currently I have put: "... and a guarded security entrance."
But I actually like "guards post/ station" as this is more general, seeing as we do not know the specifics. Obviously for those who are not aware, "sentry" is used mainly as a particular military term, and would seem a bit odd to use for a residential block, otherwise I would not have had to post the question.

@ Phil Yes, I was wondering if I should just put controlled access or secured access, but we do not know if this is 24-hour or not. We also don't know if Antonio's pinterest photos refer to Residential blocks in Kinshasa. This could be a general feature that is appearing, but I have not found any images on the security for these particular blocks in this area - I thought this might be important as if it is a dangerous country there might be standards people follow.

My guess I figure this is some sort of access control to the block, but i am not sure what this type is specifically, and whether it implies a person or a system.
