French term

PTT

French to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng electrical
This appears, on a number of occasions, in a specification for a new electrical installation, applying to many rooms.

I know that it is an acronym for the French post office and telecommunications services, but was wondering whether it might also just be an acronym for telephone point or socket (although there are numerous in this particular house, even though it's a big one!!)

Any help greatly appreciated.

phone, exact;ly

it is indeed a handy abbreviation for the phone service (or the postal service) even though the PTT itself no longer exists!
