Norwegian term
bakgrunnsrett
Norwegian to English
Law/Patents
Medical: Health Care
international shipping
Referring to international shipping, culpa liability and the limitation of liability in safe harbours as per 'engelsk bakgrunnsett'. No such limited liability in accordance with 'norsk or annen skandinavisk bakgrunnsrett'.
Anyone know what 'bakgrunnsrett' means, please? I've seen indications that it might mean contractual law, but I don't really understand.
Advice appreciated.
