Does anyone have the correct technical term for this, it is in connection with a dismantled transformer, upon inspecting the active part once it had been withdrawn, with a lot of damage noted to the coils and windings in the HT phases, I guess these are sort of securing rings for the wedges (shims?) that secure the windings in place?
