Puis en allant voir sur le GDT la définition de ce "redan" on parle de ce qui suit qui pourrait s'adapter à ton texte

Note(s) :
Sur le redan : se dit d'un hydravion qui court à fleur d'eau, tout l'arrière déjaugé. Certaines coques de canots automobiles rapides qui déjaugent en partie lorsqu'ils atteignent une grande vitesse, sont également à redan (stepbottom boats, hydroplanes).
Le redan réduit l'adhérence au cours du décollage et facilite le déjaugeage.
