Swedish term

lappövning

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Economics business book
Sample sentence: De verktyg som vi använder mest i benchlearning är: lappövning (i alla kreative möten under alla steg)...
It's where you ask people to write things on bits of paper and pin them on a board, choose from them and discuss them. What would you call a 'lapp' in the formal sense, please, given that this is a business book?
TIA,
Helen

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com May 26, 2004:
probably is It probably can be called 'brainstorming', but then the book describes the way the 'lappar' are put on the board, then taken down again by the respective writers so they can add more ideas to their individual 'lappar' to be discussed.

Note

I guess... But this sounds like a form of "brainstorming" to me.
Peer comment(s):

agree George Hopkins : Could also be slip or tag, ie, notes.

agree Peter Linton (X) : These days they would almost certainly use Post-it notes. We certainly called it "brainstorming," sometimes also "blue sky thinking."
