Translation - English ‘BLOCKCHAIN’
It’s a new way to stock, register and transfer information between a network of totally decentralized computers. Imagine an enormous log book, where each transaction is verified by and is annotated on all the nodes of the computer network. If data changes in an Excel sheet, the change is recorded in all computers. The information becomes immutable. The information cannot be manipulated, unless all the computers in the network are manipulated (it functions by consensus, and to manipulate a piece of information, you would have to be in agreement with thousands of people all over the world). The more the data broad, the more difficult. It’s called blockchain (‘chain of blocks’’) because transactions are recorded in sequences of data blocks.
It’s a mortal blow to intermediaries. Does to make sense to pay the Land Registry? Or a notary to make a will? And if all donations to political parties were recorded, impossible...
