Fully booked Sep 9, 2022

Well, I'm as fully booked as I want to be this month. I'm currently back in Scotland for yet another funeral and looking after my daughter's house while she's on holiday in the US, so I don't really want to be snowed under anyway.

Kind of wide open... Sep 9, 2022

I’m booked today for a small follow-up to a huge translation EN-PT I edited last month (95,000 words), but afterwards it’s kind of wide open: I’m waiting for a couple of bits - DG’s video message and an op-ed – which are due to come next week for the WFD project; I have been waiting for the edited figures text of another big translation which are also expected to come next week. Besides that, one of my longest-standing customers – a European regional organization – has a plenary me... See more

Besides that, one of my longest-standing customers – a European regional organization – has a plenary meeting in the end of October and should be sending all the documentation soon. So, September will be a typical month in the life of this freelancer...Collapse

I'm waiting for the go-ahead from a client for a job that will keep me busy for a week, and I've also done an estimate for a huge job that is supposed to come by the end of the month but will probably take longer, in that these things always do take longer. I expect more work will come in, but I have plenty of projects lined up if ever it doesn't.

somehow fully booked Sep 9, 2022

Only because I am working on 2 long term projects.
Still, I am trying to keep some time for smaller projects to keep everybody happy.
No idea how my planning will look in a few months, considering the current economic developments in Europe...

One advantage of non-freelance living is a paid leave, and I'm taking one for the last two weeks of September (I'm on a civil-law contract but still get all the goodies a regular employee would have, it's just cheaper for the employer). I might take on some freelance projects during this time, but I guess it would be nice if I could refrain from translating for a bit. Busy at the moment Sep 9, 2022

Busy at the moment, even refusing jobs that I can't fit in, but finally taking a break at the end of the month for a well-deserved holiday.

Usually only 1 week ahead Sep 9, 2022

I am usually just booked for 1 week ahead but I rarely experience periods of slow idling.

Like all Brits, I will be in mourning for the rest of the month.

More or less planned Sep 9, 2022

I'm pretty new to the freelancing game, so I'm trying to get ramped up with marketing efforts and other kinds of outreach. More refining to do, but I'm getting there. Best of luck to you all this month!

Neither busy nor quiet Sep 10, 2022

I have the remains of a large project, and a few small projects booked in. I would expect to pick up a few more over the next 7-10 days. If they do not materialise, it will be a quiet month overall. If they do appear, then the month will tilt towards busy.

Fully booked until beginning of October, which is not usual for me.

Dreadful Sep 14, 2022

July was poor, August was average, September looks like being poor again, especially as the country is closed for a fortnight due to the Queen's death

The country will be closing for one day, not a fortnight... Anyway, doesn't your work come from Germany?
