Source text - English XXX has been tested in combination with the monoclonal antibodies, XXX (humanized monoclonal antibody which blocks the association of HER2 with other HER family members, including EGFR, HER3, and HER4) and XXX (anti-vascular endothelial growth factor [anti-VEGF] monoclonal antibody). The combination of XXX and XXX synergistically inhibited the growth of two xenografts which were established from HER2-overexpressing KPL-4 breast cancer cells and NSCLC¬derived Calu-3 cells. The synergistic action of XXX and XXX may be explained by their complementary modes of action and was also seen when XXX was added to continuous XXX in mice whose tumors showed progressive growth on trastuzumab monotherapy. Similar results were obtained with XXX and XXX combination therapy: each of the two antibodies could only slow down the growth of KPL-4 xenograft tumors as monotherapy, but tumor regressions were induced by combination treatment. Again, synergism was also observed when combination therapy was started after tumor progression on either single agent treatment.

Therefore, the Sponsor would like to collect a blood sample to allow performing DNA tests related to the medications used in the study or related to the diseases for which this medication is developed.
Translation - Spanish El Patrocinador desea estudiar las diferencias en el ADN de las personas para tratar de mejorar nuestro conocimiento sobre la manera en que el virus del VIH causa la enfermedad, cómo funcionan los medicamentos usados en este estudio en el virus y en el cuerpo humano, o para predecir mejor los efectos (secundarios) de estos medicamentos.
