Dear all,

I will be moving to Brno -Czech Republic- in July with my family. I am wondering if there is among you Proz members a freelance translator residing in Brno who could clear up some questions for me regarding translation freelancing in Brno...
Once arrived in Brno should I declare income at a local fiscal administration or what are the procedures you follow early - fiscal forms, declarations?
Thank you for your time,
Justine

Hi Justine,

First please note that the business regulations are the same for the whole Czech Republic.

Secondly, it also depends on for how long are you going to stay here? If it is max. 1-2 years (the exact period may depend on specific circumstances), it may be possible that you are not obliged to be a tax resident here (of course also depending on French legislatation) - but if you wish to and there are no legal restrictions from French side, you can of course become
