How do I change my username WITHOUT making a new account?

you mean your ProZ.com profile, please go to http://www.proz.com/settings/freelancer/account#identity

The username is in first line (top of the page).

Don't forget to click "Save and update profile" button in the bottom of the page.

Also note that if you want your real name to be displayed on the site, you don't need to change your username for that. Simply fill in your real name below the username, and select the option that displays your real name instead of your username.
