French term

acte définitif de vente

French to English Law/Patents Real Estate from a Moroccan Promesse Synalagmatique de Vente
[I assumed that this would be in the glossary, but did not find it... Apologies if I missed it.]

"Néanmoins, pour les besoins exclusifs du service de l’Enregistrement, une origine de propriété complète sera établie lors de l’acte définitif de vente."

Thank you.

completion of sale

This is the usual term in the UK.

The word "deed" or contracts is unnecessary if the contracts have previously been exchanged and all that is needed for completion is release of monies and a phone call between solicitors to confirm payment has occurred.

Perhaps that was a bit unclear. Of course, it is more likely that Morrocco follows French rather than UK procedures and they might even follow neither. Also, Scotland has a different system so, England and Wales, not UK. However, if the reader is from any part of the UK they would understand "completion" and that it might well take a different form in Morrocco.

Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : I don't think the English system is relevant here - it's Morocco, and you should stay as close as possible to the French.

disagree AllegroTrans : the text speaks of a document not simply the action, and in any event in Engald & Wales the final document completing a sale will be a conveyance (unregistered land) or transfer (registered land)

Example sentence:

if the Government were to attempt to sell their portion of the system a ***definitive bill of sale*** cannot be developed for the property owned by the Government versus that which still belongs to the City of Colorado Springs.
