I am a full time PhD student at University of Glasgow, studying DNA sequencing and metabolite analysis.

I translated TWO pharmaceutical technical books for Wiley Publication, from English to Chinese, 1.5 millions word in total. One was published in China, Oct. 2010, the second book was published July 2012.

I studied at the University of Strathclyde and received an MSc degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis between 2007-2008. Unlike my classmates, who had recently studied to first degree level, my first degree was in traditional Chinese medicine. I found the Pharmaceutical Analysis course enjoyable and enriching and I achieved a merit marking which, I think, proves my hard work and determination. Both qualitative and quantitative analsyis knowledge and skills were taught in this course, I used Excel and Minitab statistic software to analyse data often for my study and work.

I also have extensive business work experiences before I move to UK. I worked for China Commodity Market Network Inc. between 1998 to 2001 Pivotal employee in matching potential investors and liaising with Princeton Economic International to partner the company in generating commodity price forecast reports;

Then coming to 4 years working for managing and operated alibaba.com English and Chinese websites. Increased the traffic of the website by attracted more registered customers and improved the service quality. Key player in designing the company’s main cash cow product “trustpass” which now generates around 1 billion Chinese yuan for the company. Set up the sales business for alibaba.com in Shanghai area and brought 1 million Chinese yuan sales revenue to the company during the first month of trading in Shanghai - July 2003. My work brought together many customers and business partners. I was asked to join Alibaba.com when it was a fledgling company – it is now the top non-governmental site in China and in the top five international internet companies by capital value. The company has global customers covering over 200 areas around the world.
