I am a native English speaker, born and raised in the United States, with over seven years of experience in translation and editing. Additionally, as a long-time writing tutor, current ESL teacher and former competitive debater, I possess excellent personal communication skills in working with writers, speakers and clients on a one-on-one basis. On top of that, much of my work has involved coaching non-native English speakers in writing and speaking; through this I am particularly qualified for editing and copywriting pieces produced by non-native speakers. 

My areas of greatest familiarity are education & pedagogy (including theses and dissertations), current affairs, and literary translation (especially folklore and short stories). However, my years of experience tutoring in academic writing centers has given me broad exposure to documents in a huge variety of fields: psychology, hospitality, engineering and more. 

Holding bachelor's degrees in computer science, I'm also well-attuned to technical writing, making me a great fit for jobs like localization and program tutorials.

I am passionate about the work I do; the act of making not only language but cultural contexts legible to a new audience is tremendously exciting.
