About me:


My areas of expertise include: Information Technology (software, hardware, networks), Telecom, Marketing & Advertising, Business, Consumer Products, Travel, Media, Politics, Economy. My native languages are Bulgarian and Russian (bilingual since early childhood) and I have an excellent knowledge of English (12 years) complemented by the experience of living and working temporary and permanently in USA for several years. I also have an extensive translation and localization Project Management experience in all branches of the translation and localization production chain (Project Manager on temp contract with Microsoft, Global Project Manager with the world's largest localization company, and Leader & Project Manager of a small translation vendor). I have an good knowledge of HTML, XML, software applications (MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Trados, Transit, LocStudio, ProductStudio, Ms Project, and html editors) and some programming skills in Visual Basic, Java, SQL, Lisp, PhP, ADA.

Between 2003 and 2009 I had been a volunteer moderator of ProZ.com English->Bulgarian translator's community.


About the team:

I work in a team with six translators and proofreaders who complement my services by adding new areas of experitise and language pairs, expanding turnaround capacity, and providing independent proofreading. Together we cover more language pairs and areas of expertise, including automotive translations, electronics, construction tools, other technical translations, financial, political and other areas. The team includes native speakers of US English, Bulgarian, Russian, Chinese (Traditional) and Ukrainian.


Our main focus is to provide accurate high-quality translations to our customers within the requested time frame.

Fees and payment:
Attractive rates (starting at about EUR 0.08/USD 0.12 per word of source text depending on size, difficulty level, deadlines and file formats).
NOTE: The rates include independent editing and/or proofreading. Minimum fee per project is USD/EUR 18.00.

Special discounts for projects containing over 50k words of source text. Preferred methods of payment: bank wire, check (esp. drawn in a US bank), PayPal, MoneyGram- within 30 days after completion of each project.

Additional information about my experience:

Educational background in Mathematics and Computer Science, 2.5 years of professional experience in Marketing (as a Marketing Assistant in an English-language newspaper and as a Marketing Manager in a seaside resort). Several years of professional experience as a Localization Project Manager with some of the world's largets localization and software manufacturing companies. Wide experience in web design, translations, writing texts for ads, PR events, newspaper articles, writing company profiles, etc. Extensive translation experience with software documentation, hardware manuals.
