Apr 5, 2018
Hi, my question is whether any or all of the three sessions are useful for German natives (translating into their own language)? Does it make sense for me to participate? Thanks!

Hi Katja,
Thank you for your interest. So, for this webinar, we try to design it so that it is aimed towards translators with a variety of different language combinations. The Webinar is presented in English and since I am not a German linguist, I do not provide any specific English-to-German examples. However, if you are interested in general rules of thumb and tips for translating journal articles, this should still be applicable. Of course, it is always best to have examples for your specific language combination, but a variety of linguists have found the webinar helpful in the past, despite a lack of language-specific examples.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi,
Is it possible to watch the webinars at a later moment? For instance, is it possible to watch the first one now that the date has passed? And, if I am unavailable for either of the other two, may I watch them later as well?
Thanks,
Krista
