A while ago I deleted a CTE project by trashing all the files related to it, and the folder containing them.
Annoyingly however, the name of that project is still appearing in my projects list in CTE. How can I get rid of it?

Just remove or rename the project folder containing your project files (e.g .xlf file). You can check its exact location in your system via the menu Project > Recent projects > Your project name. Hover the mouse over your project name there to see its location/path.

There is no mistake in naming the project the same as the source language document. You can preview your translation via the menu Project > Preview current document or by exporting your partial translation via Project > Export and exchange > Export current document.

Igor,
Thank you for your reply. It worked.
Now, My new challenge is: how to control segmenting the source document for a more cohesive translation? The automatic segmentation appears as follows:
example:
"As time drew to a time when they knew they"
"needed"
"to"
"go"
"to"
"their"
"respective places, both experienced the sharp stabs of pain often accompanied by loneliness"

As a result, I had to choose which segment should be used as the translation segment in stead of word by word.
Now, my translated document appears in partial English, and partial Chinese.
What is your recommendation? ▲ Collapse

By default, CafeTran does the sentence segmentation unless your document has some unusual divider between words. It appears to be the case here. One possible solution is to join segments together (see the Join segments button) to form correct sentences.
Or it might be a Word document after the OCR or PDF conversion if you see the tags between words. Igor,
I noticed on my single word segment, there is a red R on the top right of segment numbers. What is the purpose of this red R and how can we use this identifier to undo single word segmenting issue?
"R" stands for Repeated segment | Mar 21, 2021 |
It means the same segment exists in the project you are translating.
Repeated segments are auto-propagated according to the settings present in Preferences>Auto-propagation settings. Propagated segments also show a "P" sign.
To disable auto-propagation regardless of the settings, right click inside the Source segment editor box and uncheck "Auto-propagation". The red "nP" sign is added besides the segment.

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I guess I am just too new to this CT and unable to find exactly what you are instructed. Is there anyway that we can get video instruction in detail for this CT? I intend to learn this CT and purchase for a translation project. However, I am needing a detailed instruction to accomplish my goal.
