I personally didn\'t get to know Monika, but I noticed one or two of her answers in the community...
I have just taken a look at her profile, and it appears that she always had a \"Greeting\" for fellow colleagues and Proz members. Monika may not have been in the community long, but it appears that she had a lasting effect upon many. Having seen the ebulliently professional, though informal, manner in which she communicated with others, this isn\'t surprising at all.

I wasn\'t as lucky as some of the other members, in receiving a \'greeting\' from Monika, but I shall send one to you, Marc, with my sincere and heartfelt condolences.
While I light a candle for her this coming week, could you perhaps send her a \'greeting\' from me..? Thank you.
As one member has already said - even though many rely (wholly or partly) on our skills through words, meanings, communication, for our livelihoods - it\'s amazing to see how difficult it is to find the appropriate words/sentiments for such a tragedy. To one so young and full of promise, as well.
I hope that you may continue to smile as she did here...

to Monika\'s husband, family and friends. The only contact I ever had with her was when she sent me an e-mail, a few months ago, to ask me how to get her picture on her profile page. The Proz main page reminds me of that e-mail every day.
She seemed nice and kind. It was too soon for her (or for anyone at that age) to go. May she rest in peace...

I and Ms. Monika Martens never communicated but I knew of her presence. And my impression of her was that of a thorough professional. May her soul rest in peace and may her family find strength in the fact that Monika herself would want them to get along with life.

Monica sent me an email on 2 September and to ask me if I wanted to join a project as a proofreader. I replied. I have seen her responses many times on the Kudoz question board and now I read of her tragic accident.
My thoughts are with her family. I wish them strenghts and love to get out of the tunnel of grief. Monica seemed like a beautiful person, a competent professional with a gentle beautiful sould who also touched my life.

My sincere condolences to Monika\'s husband, family and friends.
Whilst I too am new to the Proz community and didn\'t know Monika personally, I know that she was a very active member and will be missed by us all.
