I’m selling Trados 7.1 + Multiterm with the Trados software license.
I had a license for Sdlx 2005 (which I’ve updated to SDL Trados 2006) and also one for Trados 7, purchased last year.

These two programs are now one package (SDL Trados 2006), so I contacted SDL and they have approved the transfer of the license for Trados 7.1. They say the transfer will not include updates or assistance unless an assistance program is bought in the future by the new license holder.

Re: updating the program in the future.

I contacted SDL and asked for info on updating the program in the future after transferring the license.

They replied saying that if the purchaser wishes to update the program in the future all they have to do is buy either a one-year Maintenance plan or a Maintenance and Support plan (119-159€ as far as I can tell, both of which include free updates for that year). The updates cost from 80-380€ anyway depending on how old the version of the program you're updating is, so that sounds ok.
