Hello there! 😊
Let me introduce myself:
my name is Rositsa (Rossi) Nedyalkova
I am a native Bulgarian
I live in Saarland, Germany
I am a freelance language services provider
It would be a pleasure for me to support you on your projects
Born and grown near the Black Sea and various tourism regions in Bulgaria, I’ve met many people from all over the world and I found out pretty fast that not everybody speaks Bulgarian...😊 I’ve realized that by speaking a couple of languages we become citizens of the world – and that’s brilliant. Since I was a child I follow my passion for languages, linguistics, and communication in all its forms.
Besides intensive learning English and German during my school education, I was fascinated by literature, reading and writing poems, my favorite activity at school was reading in front of an audience and my hobby was moderating and working as a rock music journalist at the local radio station. In the summertime, I worked as an interpreter for some RIU hotels at the seaside.
I always wanted to collect knowledge in many different spheres of life, society and business because skills = opportunities. I was 18 when I moved alone to Germany and studied for a very long time – it was all worthwhile!
Economics and Law - Statistics, Accounting, Mathematics, Marketing, Management, Business relations, European Law, Public relations etc.
After that I dedicated myself to my passion for Linguistics and Languages (not only human languages 😉):
Computational Linguistics – Syntax, Semantics, Morphology, Psycholinguistics, Artificial Science (AI), Grammar Formalisms, Japanese, Python, Java, SML, an internship at Acrolinx
Though I love everything about Computational Linguistic, Machine Translation, Speech Recognition, Speech Output, etc., I didn‘t see myself in the role of a human-language-teacher for machines – A is A and B is B, but there is so much more between - the Sense of Language is something very human-like and that’s okay for me! I went more further and spent some more years expanding my metaknowledge about language and its usage, functions, and products.
German Philology + Comparatistic Literature and Linguistics – Middle High German, Old High German, Language History, Theoretical and Practical Translation, Indo-European Studies, Language Research, Film Analysis, Online Journalism, Imagology, Intertextuality, etc.
While I was still studying I started working as a freelance translator and interpreter for local job centers, hospitals, and police departments in Saarland, Germany. I stayed in the social sphere for a couple of years. Since then I have translated a great number of certificates, contracts, agreements, medical reports, etc.
I am always on the search for new skills and know-how – that’s why I specialize in localization, voiceover, dubbing, transcription, subtitling, MTPE (Machine Translation Post Editing), and DTP (Desktop Publishing). Oh, and I work as a hobby freelance music journalist. (Rock&Roll will never die!)
I am a freelance language service provider since 2016 and I am finally here on ProZ.com to help you with my knowledge and experience -I would be very glad to support you on your projects and you won’t regret it!😊
My hobbies: Music, Nature, Literature, Cinema, Yoga, Design, Cooking, Tourism, History, Anthropology, Lyrics, Poems, Linguistics, Advertising and many more.. :)
